Computing Darwin Calibrator run returns the user notification "Must have at least one adjustment group…"

  Product(s): WaterGEMS, WaterCAD
  Version(s): 08.11.xx.xx
  Environment: N\A
  Area: Modeling

Problem

When computing a Darwin Calibrator run, the following error and user notification are returned:

Calibrator Engine Error Message: "Calibrator Calculation Failed. Please see user notifications for possible causes."

User Notification: "Must have at least one adjustment group (roughness or status) or if none, then must have at least two status groups."

Solution

This user notification is being returned because the calibration run being computed does not meet the minimum requirements for adjustment groups.

At a minimum you will need:

1 Roughness Group
or
1 Demand Group
or
2 Status Groups

Without any adjustment groups selected, the calibration run will not have any properties to change, and therefore the results would be the same.

How to add an adjustment group:
 1. Select the calibration study from the tree menu.
 2. Select an adjustment group tab (roughness, demand, or status).
 3. Click the new button and enter a label for the group.
 4. Click in the Element IDs field and select the ellipses (…) button.
 5. Select elements in the model to include in that group.

How to specify which adjustment groups are active for a calibration run:
 1. Select the calibration run from the tree menu
 2. Select an adjustment group tab (roughness, demand, or status).
 3. Check/uncheck the Is Active? Column.
