Problem

After computing a model, there are inaccurate flows and velocities being reported. For example:

This could happen if a pump's "Status (Initial)" property is set to on, but the upstream tank's "Elevation (Initial)" value is lower than the pump's "Elevation (On)" value.

In other words, the pump is set to be on at the beginning of the simulation, but the pump should be off initially, as specified by its operational controls.

Solution

The solution is to set the pumps "Status (Initial)" so it is consistent with it's controls.
