This article explains how to use the Prototypes feature to copy properties of one element to apply to another, newly created element. This can be useful for example if you need to lay out many of the same element and you already have one element that uses the properties you would like the others to have.
Another example would be to duplicate conduits - adding a parallel conduit with the same properties.
1) Right click on the element whose properties you want to copy, choose "Create Prototype" and give it a name (or just accept the default).2) Confirm in the Prototypes manager that the new Prototype is set as current.3) Lay out the new element - it will take on the properties of the first element.
Repeat these steps for each distinct element/property you want to copy.
