Problem

The following error message is generating when opening a model: "Invalid syntax for a decimal numeric entity reference."

Solution

This issue is likely related to a corruption in the starter file (.stsw for the Storm/Sewer products, .wtg for the Water products). There are two possible solutions to the issue.

First, you can import the database file into a new file. To do this, import the database file (.stsw.sqlite for Storm/Sewer products, .wtg.sqlite for Water products) file into a new project. This is done by going to File > Import > (product name) Database.

Second, you can restore the backup files in the model. The following link has information on how to do this: Can I restore a backup file of my model? After restoring the backup files, open the newly restored file by going to File > Open and selecting the starter file (.stsw or .wtg).
