Problem
When multiple instances of the products above are running on a machine, will it be counted as multiple separate license usage, or one single license usage?
For example SewerGEMS Standalone is open twice on the same computer, or WaterGEMS Standalone is open along with WaterGEMS for ArcMap.
Solution
Multiple instances of the same product ID and feature string count as a single usage in the SELECTserver.
It is unlikely that a computer will have two instances of the same product using two different feature strings (for example 1000 pipes for one and 5000 pipes for another), but if that were to happen then the license usage would increase. (each unique feature level usage would be counted separately)
Note that the Daily Peak Usage report will show a peak usage of one for each of the feature strings.
A note on Multiple Windows User Accounts
If an instance of the application is open while another user on the same computer signs in to a different Windows account and opens the same application with the same feature string (pipe limit), it will still count as one usage. This is because usage is counted based on computer machine name. The exception would be if the second user has a different feature level selected (pipe limit), as those will be tracked separately.
