How to create and assign non-standard conduit shapes
When assigning conduit shapes the user can define conduits in two ways viz. user defined or catalog conduits. The catalog conduit library consists of standard conduit shapes, sizes and materials. To assign a non-standard shape (a shape not readily available in the conduit library), the user can create different conduit shapes and use them.
Following are the steps to create a non-standard user defined conduit shape.
Step1
For version 08.11.XX.XX go to Components>Conduit Catalog
For version 10.XX.XX.XX go to Components>Catalog>Conduit Catalog
Step 2
In the Conduit Catalog click on new to create new user defined shape.
Click on Conduit Shape to select a shape to be assigned. Allowable conduit shapes include;
Additional information about all the available conduit shapes is provided in this wiki article and the Help section of the software.
Step 3
Input the geometrical parameters (height, span, width etc.) necessary to define the conduit shape.
Once the user defined shape is created it can be exported to the conduit library for future use.
