Error when opening Engineering Libraries: Engineering Library registry is empty

Product(s): PondPack
Version(s): 08.11.xx.xx
Area: Modeling

Problem

When trying to open the Engineering Libraries from the Components pulldown menu, the following error message is generated: "Engineering Library registry is empty."

Solution

This is likely occurring because the engineering libraries file is corrupted. Close PondPack and browse to C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\EngineeringLibraries. There will be a file called EngineeringLibraries.mdb. Rename this file to something like EngineeringLibraries.mdb.bak or something like this. After doing this, reopen PondPack, which should recreate the engineering libraries file. This will be a default file, so any data that was previously available will not be there. If you have storm data that you want included in the engineering libraries again, you can open a model where that storm was used. You can then import the storm into the engineering libraries from the Storm Data dialog.
