SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, StormCAD and CivilStorm CONNECT Edition standalone versions do not require any CAD or GIS software to work. However, they can be integrated with the following platforms:

Model Compatibility
Models saved in the updated release of SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, StormCAD and CivilStorm (version 10.01.01.XX) can be opened in the initial CONNECT Edition Update 1 release (version 10.01.00.XX).

Broken Back Culverts are now supported. A "broken back culvert" is composed of a series of intermediate inflow points, bends and slope changes between a head-wall and end-wall. In this case the conduits are connected by transition nodes and only the most upstream culvert conduit is specified as a culvert.
An example of this configuration is a culvert crossing a highway with an inflow point at the median.
Prior to the release of the CONNECT Edition Update 1 (Build 10.01.01.XX) Storm and Sewer products, this configuration was not usable and would require that the culvert conduits have both a headwall and an endwall defined.
Australian Rainfall and Runoff
Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2016 data can only be entered by importing a custom CSV file downloaded from the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology.

Flood Estimation Handbook (United Kingdom)
The Flood Estimation Handbook (FEH) presents a rainfall depth-duration-frequency (DDF) method. This replaces the Location, M5-60, and ratio r values which are described in the Flood Studies Report (FSR), and used in the Wallingford Procedure. The FEH retains the FSR rainfall profile and Areal Reduction Factor procedures.
The FEH analysis considered durations of 1, 2, 6 and 12 hours and 1, 2, 4 and 8 days, and return periods from 2 to 1000 years. It includes a CD-ROM with the 6 parameters defined on 1km grid covering the UK.
When a Custom Report is generated with a FlexTable included, the elements are now sorted by their label in ascending order.
An option to "Save Annotation Definition Settings as Default" was added to the engineering profile options menu. This option saves the current annotation definition settings as the default to be used when future engineering profiles are created.
When right-clicking on a FlexTable column heading there is now an option to "Sort Dendritic (Upstream->Downstream)". When this is selected rows are arranged not only by their upstream to downstream connectivity but also grouped by branch. Links of a dendritic stormwater network can be well-labeled with the Branch Labeling tool, resulting in a clear designation of links organized into tributary branches. After this sort, the first rows appearing will be the elements within the upstream most branch, and appearing in upstream to downstream order within that branch.

The Selection Set manager and Contour manager can be sorted by clicking the Label column header. The initial click will sort in ascending order. A subsequent click will sort in descending order.
To access the new Storm Events Scenarios Wizard, open the Scenario manager, click the new icon, and select "New Storm Event Scenarios…".
The storm events scenario wizard assists in streamlining the process of creating scenarios, alternatives, calculation options and storm events for a specific set of return periods and durations. The wizard will guide you through the process of entering the required data to generate these items.
The set of scenarios, alternatives, calculation options and storm events created are then used with the Critical Storm Analysis tool.
The wizard will create new scenarios, alternatives, calculation options and storm events. It will not modify any existing item. For additional alternative types not created, it will use the first base scenario of that type as the default assignment.
