Modelbuilder crashes while updating model with shapefiles after split action in WaterGEMS

Problem

Modelbuilder crashes with the below error while updating a model (Sync-in) with shapefiles after a split action:

"Error handling snapshots. Value does not fall within the expected range."

Background

This problem can occur when a model is built using shapefiles with the GIS-ID feature, then a split function is performed using the pipe split tool or pipes are split by hydrants. This will result in multiple pipes with same GIS IDs in model. This error is seen when using the snapshot feature in Modelbuider or when simply using Modelbuilder to update the model data using shapefiles with GIS IDs. This occurs when trying to remove/add or change pipes that were split by hydrants which were floating (orphaned) or due to pipes which are split using Batch pipe split tool.

Solution

This issue was fixed in a patch to version 10.01.01.04 (reference number #911494) Please contact Technical Support for the patch, or upgrade to a newer version when available.
