Determining if and when an OpenFlows product was uninstalled

Problem

Is it possible to determine if and when an OpenFlows product was uninstalled?

Solution

If you know roughly the date that the program may have been uninstalled, you may be able to use the Windows Event Viewer log to confirm:

1) Open Event Viewer (search from the Start menu)

2) Under "System Tools", expand "Event Viewer", "Windows Logs", and select "Application".

3) On the right, click "Filter Current Log"

4) In the new dialog, for the "Event sources" drop down list, scroll down and select "MsiInstaller" and click OK

5) Scroll through the list, clicking each item and looking at the "General" tab notes at the bottom. Look for an entry that mentioned "Windows Installer removed the product...". For example:

"Windows Installer removed the product. Product Name: WaterCAD CONNECT Edition Update 2. Product Version: 10.2.1.6. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Bentley Systems, Incorporated. Removal success or error status: 0."
