Problem
For the older V8i versions when starting application, the below error is seen.
Solution
The best option would be to upgrade to the latest version of application, which can be downloaded using software downloads page.
As a workaround look for managed starter filename - like SewerGEMS.Starter.exe in the installation folder - C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\SewerGEMS as seen in below screenshot.
Once you can open the application successfully you can then create a shortcut of this file on desktop and continue to use it.
