How do I hide unwanted columns in conduit catalog?

While adding a new catalog class in the conduit catalog, is there way to hide or remove columns on the right side that I do not need? For example roughness coefficients for roughness methods that are not used.

Solution

When you are adding a new catalog class to the conduit catalog, you only need to enter data for the required fields and not all of them; the remainder can be left with their default value (ex: zero).

The fields that you see in the catalog conduit class table on the right side while adding a Catalog Class, cannot be removed, or hidden. However not all of these fields will be visible in the conduit properties, the values you enter in the catalog, get populated in the conduit properties when you are selecting from the catalog conduit and catalog class.

Also depending on which product (StormCAD, SewerCAD, SewerGEMS or CivilStorm) and the particular solver (Implicit, Explicit, GVF-Rational or GVF-Convex) you are using, different fields will be populated in the conduit properties. You should at lease define the basic information; labels, sizes of conduit like diameter or dimensions (rise, span), roughness coefficient values etc. For example, if you only use the Mannings equation in your model, you could leave the Hazen Williams C, Kutters n and Darcy-Weisbach e as zero/default.

In the case of the Inlet catalog or gutter catalog, whatever data you enter for specific catch basin type / gutter type in catalog will be available in element properties after selecting that entry in the element properties > inlet type > inlet. Accordantly fields available in the catch basin properties will change, which will also depend upon the solver selected.
