Problem

My model takes an excessively long time to compute when using the Explicit (SWMM) solver with a large number of catalog inlets.

Solution

If your model has a large number of catalog inlets (curb, grate, slot, etc) you may notice the Explicit (EPA-SWMM) solver takes a relatively long time to compute the model compared to other software or to the Implicit solver. This is a known issue which has been fixed in a patch for version 10.03.04.53. If a newer version is available, please upgrade using the information here. For version 10.03.04.53, contact Technical Support for the latest cumulative patch set.
