How can I enable or disable flow arrows on pipes or conduits? How can I change the size of the arrows?
To enable or disable the flow arrows, first open the Element Symbology manager. Next, double click on Conduit (or Pipe, depending on the application). This will open the Properties display (the same window used to edit properties of hydraulic elements). In the Properties, set the field "Show Flow arrows" to True to display flow directional arrows, or choose False to hide the arrows.
To change the size of the flow arrows, change the Symbol Size Multiplier in the same properties window.
If the flow arrows still do not appear when setting this to True, first make sure the model has been computed successfully (check the user notifications and calculation summary for indications of a failed run). Also, depending on the symbol size and drawing style of your model, you may also need to check and adjust the "symbol size multiplier" and "display style" in the properties (see below). For more on troubleshooting flow arrows/direction, see the article in the "see also" section below.
Note: when working in the AutoCAD integrated platform (including Civil 3D), ensure that auto-hide is not enabled for the "Modeling Properties" (Property grid) window, so that the properties will appear when you double click "Pipe" in the Element Symbology manager.
Note: when working in the ArcMap integrated platform, go to the WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS/HAMMER menu > View > Apply <Product Name> Renderer . Once the Renderer is applied, you can use the "show flow arrows" check box, under the same menu. See more in the article in the "see also" section below.
