How can I get channel routing results comparable to HEC-1 with the Muskingum-Cunge method?
Since PondPack currently does not support the Muskingum-Cunge method, there is no way to guarantee matching results. However, the following options will help you get results closer to the HEC -1 method.
Please ensure that the Hec-1 Method is selected in Tool > Options > Project (tab) > Unit Hydrograph Simulation.
For the routing method, please make sure the "Routing Method" property of a conduit is set to "Muskingum". Note, Muskingum method is different than "Muskingum-Cunge" method.
The X Coefficient (Muskingum) may be calculated based on the equation described in this link:
