I am trying to set up controls for a PRV, and I can close the PRV at a specific elevation, but I can not make it active at a specific elevation (the pressure valve status only has two options: Closed and Inactive). Why is that?
The way that the controls for the PRV or PSV are set up is as follows: To make the PRV or PSV inactive or closed for a given condition, you would use the valve status. In order to make it active again use the valve setting or valve pressure, depending on what the 'Setting Type' (hydraulic grade or pressure) is set to for the PRV or PSV properties.
If Tank Elevation = xx ft. (m), Then PRV Pressure Valve Status = Closed.
To make the PRV active:
If Tank Elevation = xx ft. (m), Then PRV Pressure Valve Pressure = yy psi (or Then Pressure Valve Setting = yy ft. (m) {this is used when hydraulic grade is the setting}
