Ackcio Connection

Overview

Ackcio devices are supported via an API connection to iTwin Iot. This article will provide instructions and links to enable the user to set up the Ackcio Beam Gateway and configure it to the proper settings to ensure a data connection between Ackcio and the iTwin IoT app.

This article will cover the following topics:

Retrieving iTwin IoT Asset API Key

An API key from the iTwin IoT asset will be required in order to establish the data transfer connection between Ackcio and iTwin IoT. This section will guide the user in retrieving an API key from iTwin IoT.

1. Navigate to the Asset that data will be pushed to in iTwin IoT. From any page, click on the "Configure" icon in the lower left side of the page.

2. The user will be directed to the "Asset Configuration" page. The API key will be available within a tile on this page. The API key can either be highlighted and copied, or the "Copy to Clipboard" button will save it for pasting in future steps.

Assembly, Setup, and Connection of the Beam Gateway

Refer to the Ackcio support article, Setting Up Gateway, for assembly of the Beam Gateway and initial setup steps. This guide can be followed through the "Upload Mode" step in the Gateway Settings portion of the setup.

Navigate to the Ackcio setup application. Within the Ackcio window, click on the three dots next to "Upload Mode" in the middle of the screen.

In the upload mode popup window, select the "API" check box, select the Sensemetrics logo in the "Integration" dropdown.

In the URL box type the following:

app.sensemetrics.com/api/push/ackcio

Input or paste the API key retrieved in the previous section into the "API Key" input box.

Click the "Save" icon.

Continue with any additional configuration that is required per the Ackcio setup instructions. Nodes and sensors can be set up via the Ackcio instruction manual and Ackcio application.

Navigating back to the "Connectivity" page within the iTwin IoT app platform, the Ackcio connection will show up under "Connections" and all associated nodes sensors will be displayed on the "Devices and Sensors" side of the Connectivity page.
