Have you ever tried opening the SELECTserver Administration Website only to find an error stating that the “The Page Cannot be Displayed”?
Upon further review you receive an HTTP Error 403.1 – Execute Access is Denied? You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed. A common setup feature that is often overlooked during the initial installation of the SELECTserver’s web application is allowing scripts and executables in the execute permissions for the Default Website.
To resolve this, open IIS Manager and expand the Web Sites folder and right click, select properties of the Default Web Site. Then choose the home directory tab, under execute permissions choose the
Scripts and Executables and apply changes. You may need to apply this change to additional nodes under the default website.
Reset IIS and refresh the SELECTserver Administration website. You should now be able to load the webpage.
There is an article in the SELECTserver help file on how to restrict access to the SELECTserver Administration site. In the SELECTserver help file go to Contents>Installation and Configuration >SELECTserver Installation>Advanced Configuration>Restricting access to the SELECTserver Administration Site.
You would likely be better served posting your inquiry in this community's forum, referencing this wiki article. Select the Forum tab at the top of this page, then click the large blue "New Post" pushbutton and post your inquiry.
