Hi,
I have recently noticed that the size of my SQL SELECT Server is approaching 12GB. This seems somewhat excessive. Is there any way to shrink it ?
I am using SQL 2008 R2.
To be clear the MDF file is 12GB and the LDF is under 1mb.
Using the standard SQL shrink command does not result in any reduction in size.
Thanks,
Andy.
Yes, if you are running SELECTserver 9,x, the Data Retention setting is helpful for controlling database growth.
I would have expected the size of the database to shrink as well. Are you running a version prior to SELECTserver 9.1? If so, either apply a Data Retention fix directly to the license database, or upgrade to the latest version of SELECTserver which automatically applies it for you.
