Check in Microstation license

Question

I have a machine that is offline and Microstation loaded that has used it's trial period. I have booked out a license but cannot check it back in to the other machine because i can only reach the 'activation' screen. 
 Also when i booked out the license, all it asked me for was my email address which wouldn't be much use. Isn't there supposed to be a number to enter into the other machine? And how do i activate the machine with the booked-out license?

I am not seeing any checked out licenses currently assigned to machines on your site. Client machines communicate with the license server using the SELECTserver license settings entered in the License Management Tool. To examine them on a client machine, please open the License Management Tool, and select Options from the Tools menu. The server name should be selectserver.bentley.com in your case. The site activation key will be a 32-character hexadecimal string that can be retrieved from the SELECTserver administration site if not present. 
 The following license checkout instructions may be helpful. The email address is only useful if you ever resend the license via email from the Checkedout License List page on the SELECTserver administration site.

Use the following instructions for checking out a license from the administration site. This procedure can be used to check out a license for machine that cannot connect to the license server. I recommend saving it as an XML file and importing the license file on the client via the License Management Tool.
