Hope all are good.
I am newbie to Bentley licensing and activation.
One of my clients has recently renewed their STAAD pro select subscription for another 3 years .
They had been using the deployed server configuration for the licenses previously , but the renewal details came as select server ( internet based [ selectserver.bentley.com. ] ) .
So , what should i do to get the new deployed server configurations . ?
AND i heard a news ( might be a hoax) that bentley is going to stop deployed server configuration in the next few years . Is it true ?

Hi Jithin,
Product support for deployed SELECTserver installations is ending in July 2019, so users are encouraged to migrate to the hosted SELECTserver. The below support communities provides instructions for converting from deployed to hosted select server.

But unfortunately the client wants to move Bentley connect server to a deployed server.
How to do that ?

Can you please tell me why client wants to move back to deployed? As support for deployed is going to end so we wont be able to migrate them back to deployed. Migrating to hosted will eliminate the maintenance of database and deployed select server at your end, as on hosted everything would be online.

Hi Mr Abishek,
Unfortunately all the client users doesnt have internet connectivity and they also dont wish to check out the licenses .
And of prime importance : they wont let the database to be based on any cloud/server outside their premises.
Please provide any helpful links to convert hosted to deployed server .
You would need to talk with your Bentley Account Manager or Sales Representative.
