What options are available for a company hosted Subscription Entitlement Service (similar to a Hosted SELECTserver)?
Many government military, security, and intelligence agencies operate on internal classified networks that do not connect to the internet. How can they (or other private companies) set up local entitlement services and send their usage logs to Bentley?
You can reserve licenses but it will mean that no floating licenses are available. Locally we have one agency which has setup 30 virtual machines just to avoid getting billed for overusage. It is overkill but at least they seem to be more confident this way. We are losing many SELECT customers only because of this overusage enforcement policy that some short peak usage accounts as 3 month of 24/7 usage. I can explain all as I want but no one understands how this accounts to real usage. Punishing customers who still use local servers also doesn't help. It's Hopeless.
