I changed companies recently and wanted to apply for a new home license, while waiting to find out how and who to ask at work I noticed that my old home use license seems to have expired and no longer works.
I don't have the admin permissions at Bentley select web site that I used to have in my old job at previous company.. so I need to know what to tell my current IT / cad manager in order to apply for a home use license for me for MicroStation V8iSS3 and the links needed to pass on to them..
My attempts at searching just go around in circles until I get to you don't have permission pages..
I use the home use license a lot for self training, and interaction with the forum , finding and testing solutions to questions from fellow posters, as well as doing free pro bono work for NGOs and other not for profit groups.
15 mins access is just too short...
I know CE doesn't allow for home license ( a real pity) but as far as I understand if youre on Select and your using V8iSSx at work then your still allowed to apply for a home license key.

It is still available to generate home license but only until next SELECt renewal and then it will expire.
Try open this and click request home use - appsnet.bentley.com/licensing

It means they are not reactivated on next SELECT renewal and are not supported. For example if you have active SELECT until 2022 it will may work until 2022 without option to extend home license on next renewal.
ok then that does that means its not automatically extended you have to reapply after the next renewal has been accepted but its still available to reapply for it..
