I am looking for an example of how users that are NOT on SELECT manage their licenses.
OK they can email a license to a user to activate.... but as a CAD manager where are these licensees stored, there must be a pot of licenses visible to me, how do I know what licenses have been deployed, sent to who and for how long they have it for ie 12 months
What tools they have to view who is using them, where they have been installed and how to revoke a license.
Obviously, Select is better and offers all these tools. But sadly some users are not on Select, hence the question.

Short answer you can't. By Bentley standards you have to use adidas networking and a paper and pen so we are back to stone age. If you lose track of v8i license then you have to wait until it checks-in automatically which by default is no longer that 12months but if you have set checkout 5 years ahead then bad for you. For CONNECT licensing it is even more inconvenient as it requires user log-in but without SELECT there is not much benefit from it.
