When I tried to transmit usage logs from the Select Server admin pages
I didn't see the expected behavior.
I clicked on the Create file under Step 1 - prepare logs. The records under "Log processed
on" disappeared but there was no new file listed under "Step 2 - Download Submittal File"
Also I have noticed errors in the me
ssage center ...Log posting error for site: [] - could not save records to database.
I have tried restarting the servi
ces and the database but this doesn't seem to have helped.
We do not have a ready solution for this. Please, upload all SelectServer log files you will find at C:\Program Files\Bentley\SELECTserver\Logs zipped to our secure file upload area: communities.bentley.com/.../be-communities-secure-file-upload.aspx for the investigation.
Please do not attach the log files directly to this post as they contain confidential data.
The reason of the issue was MSDE database reached its 2GB size limit. User solved the issue by creating a new database for SelectServer. An alternate solution is a) upgrading SelectServer from 8.11.XX.XX to V9 and using the Data Retention feature to only keep a configured amount of usage history in the DB or b) manually upgrading MSDE to MS SQL 2005 Express which has 4 GB DB size limit and changing the SelectServer database Compatibility Mode to 90 (MS SQL 2005).
