Hi,
I was talking to my account manager and I wanted to verify what he said.
Right now, if we try a product that we do not have a license for, we get "30 days free". In other words, we get 30 days before the trusted licensing says that we do not have a valid license for the product and it stops working (ie 15 minute time-outs).
Under Select Basic Access, that logic still makes sense to me. It sees that we do not have a license for that product, therefore in 30 days it will time out.
Under Select Open Access, my account manager says that we would still get 30 days free. To me, it seems like the computer would record the usage (as an over usage--using 1 of 0 licenses available) and then after three usages (overages) we would get charged. Of course any logic can be programmed into the whole process. May I get a confirmation that under Select Open Access, we would be still be able to get "30 days free" to test a new-to-us product to see if we so desired to use it?
--Thanks,--Robert
Hi RobertArnold, your account manager is correct. Whether or not you are on Open Access or Basic Access, you would still be able to download software and use for 30 days trial. It is important to keep in mind that the trial is counted across the account. So for instance, if someone has already evaluated AutoPIPE Plus at your company, then any additional usage would not be considered evaluation.
