Fix for "exceeds content request length" error

By default, SELECTserver is configured to accept manual response files up to 7.93 MB in size. This limit has been sufficient for many years, but as the product definitions included in this file has grown with new products, the size is approaching the threshold. As a long-term fix, a web.config file configured to accept manual response files up to 18 MB in size is being provided. To apply it, please save this web.config file in your SELECTserver folder, usually C:\Program Files\Bentley\SELECTserver.

  • Hello, I have applied the solution and updated the values for maxRequestLength and maxAllowedContentLength, now the logs have been correctly transmitted. I dont have the error anymore.  However I still have a message saying "SELECTserver usage logs transmittal requried!"  and all my Menus Site Configuration, Licences Management are greyed out. While my Transmital Logs are set to Acknowledged. Could that be an issue ? Thanks for your help.
