Hi, You do not need different keys to run the server. As long as your serial number and Server activation keys are valid they will function. Apparently you are having a server issue and the communities page is not the proper place to attempt to trouble shoot a server issue. Please use the link below to open a Service Request and allow our team to pick up the issue and take a look at the details.
Thank you for your respond. I finally installed SELECTserver on WIN8 successfully, but there still the issue when trying to access the local host site. There is an issue regarding ISS that can not be read. " HTTP error 500.0-Internal Server Error" : Calling LoadLibraryEX on ISAPI filter" C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\\aspnet.dll" failed.
Could you kindly advise?
apart from that, do i need to request new site activation key due to changing new server PC (diff PC name) ?
Thinking more about the windows 8 questions it is not as straight forward as you would think. This message is tied to the SELECTServer version 9 release technical note which is no longer available for downloads. A new version is under development but as I stated there is no time line for release and it does "NOT" install on Windows 8. The Development team has been focused on the Online SELECTserver which alleviates the need for a DEPLOYED server installation. If you have the older SELECTserver version 8 though not specifically for Windows 8 it will install and be completely functional. With that said it is older technology and will at some point come to the end of it support cycle. I do expect to have an released version in place well before then.
The Windows 8 operating system is not currently supported. The request has previously been made and filed with the development team. At the current time the status has not changed and there is no time line on it's completion.
Can I install the Deploy SELECTserver on Win 8?
The Server 2012 operating system is not currently supported. The request has previously been made and filed with the development team. At the current time the status has not changed and there is no time line on it's completion.
