MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 4 WorkSet LinkSets

MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 4 now adds an additional source for Links making it easy to store project specific links in your WorkSet. In Explorer, you will now see your WorkSet listed as one of the sources. This is an addition to the Active Directory and your Configured libraries that are specified by the MS_DGNLIBLIST_LINKS variable.

In order to add links to your WorkSet LinkSet, you need to enable your WorkSet LinkSet by first making it editable. To do this go into Explorer, select on your WorkSet name in the Links section, and then do a right-click and select Edit LinkSet.

Once the WorkSet LinkSet is made available, you can then add Folders, Links, etc. to this link set.

Once you are done adding or editing the WorkSet LinkSet, you can then simply right-click on it again and make it read-only.

Please note that when you create a new WorkSet in MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 4, the WorkSet LinkSet will automatically appear in the Explorer dialog as it reads in the .DGNWS file. For WorkSets that were previously created in earlier version of MicroStation CONNECT Edition, please add the following configuration variable to your WorkSet Configuration file.

USTN_WORKSETDGNWS = $(_USTN_WORKSETSROOT)$(_USTN_WORKSETNAME).DGNWS
