In this blog, we will add tools or buttons to the ribbon group.
We will create a new button and add it to the Common Tools ribbon. A new button can be created with a key-in assigned to it. Clicking the button will execute the key-in. For our example, we will create a button for exporting the file to DWG, that is, a button for the key-in EXPORT DWG.
Measurement tools are required quite frequently. We will create a new split button and add the most commonly used measurement tools to the Common Tools ribbon group.
Let us now complete the workflow by adding more ribbon groups and tabs.
A sample of the resultant ribbon customizations is attached here.
In the next blog we will learn how to show/hide ribbon components based on certain rules.Translated German Wiki article:https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation_-_wiki_de/46169/oberflachen-anpassung-artikel-serie-anpassen-der-multifunktionsleiste---artikel-3-von-4
