(Technology Preview) Ability to place Item Type Property as Single or Separate text nodes

In MicroStation 2023.1, the ability to place item type properties as text has been enhanced by giving you the flexibility to place the properties as separate text nodes. Previously all the item type properties were placed as a single text node. You can now choose to place the text as a single text node or as separate text nodes for each property.

A new toggle is provided in the Attach Item dialog to select the mode of text placement. By default, the Single text node for all properties is active. Selecting this icon will toggle on the Separate text node for each property option.

This toggle is also made available in the Edit Item dialog and the Clone tool.

To place the Item Type text as a Single or Separate text node

In the Attach Item Dialog,

  1. Select the Item Type and its properties you wish to place as text.
  2. Toggle Off the Single Text Node for all properties.

Note: By default, the Single Text Node for all properties is active.

  1. Toggle ON the Display text of the properties you wish to place as text.
  2. Enter a data point to place the Item Type properties as text in the design.

Each property is placed as a separate text node.
