New in MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 17 – Enhancements in Tables and Reports

(Technology Preview) Reports Definition Enhancement

With Update 17, a wide range of shortcuts have been added to the Reports dialog to improve your productivity. Select or create a new report definition and simply right click to see these settings. 

•  Add Calculated Column – The Add Calculated Column allows you to add expressions and other details in the Column Definition section.
•  Add Sr. No. Column – This setting will allow you to first define the format of the Sr.No to be displayed in the column.
•  Show All Columns – The Show All Column allows you to hide or show the column by clicking on the eye icon.

(Technology Preview) Place Report as Table using Table Seed: Advanced Setting

With the improved settings and with the help of a dgnlib you can now place an entire report as a Table in the design file using a table seed. This Advanced setting is made available in the Place Table dialog.

 Additionally, the new “Transpose Table” setting allows you to transpose the Columns and Rows in a horizontal or vertical layout.

(Technology Preview) Table Style – Save Style

 This newly added ribbon group offers the Save Style setting. With the help of this setting, you can save any style that you defined in the design file.

This tool is available in the Table Style ribbon group (Drawing >Layout > Table Style >Save Style). 

 Copy and Paste Rows and Columns in Tables

With Update 17, Table enhancement gives you the ability to copy the entire selected row(s) or column(s) and paste it next to another row or column.
