New in MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 17 – Parametric modeling: Select same Parametric Components or by name

Do you like Parametric Modeling and components, but you wished working with parametric components was easier and more flexible?

We have great news! MicroStation Update 17 introduces some new features to make you work more productively.

You can now select specific types of parametric components, and in different ways.

Right-Click Menu

There are two new ways for quickly selecting all parametric components of the same type (and size) of the one you are interested on:

• Select Same Type and Size
• Select Same Type

To select specific Parametric Components Using the Element Selection Dialog

You can now select Parametric Components of a specific type and variation from the Power Selector tool:

1. Select the parametric cell in the DGN.
2. Select the Element Type button in the Element Selection dialog:

3. Enter data point (left click) in the column displaying a black dot for the parametric cell.

The Parametric Cells Filter window opens:

4. Choose a Cell Name and Variations to apply.

5. Select Apply.
