Cleanup actions are performed via the Design File Cleanup dialog. With this update, the performance of the Design File clean-up has improved, making the user experience easier and less time-consuming. In the previous update, the time taken to load and perform any one of the clean-up actions took far more time as compared to MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 14. The clean-up actions can be performed for Duplicate, Overlapping and Gap in the elements.
The test data has been accumulated based on machines with multiple processors and an average of the same has been drawn to run the study. MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 14 has shown substantial improvement in the numbers compared to Update 13.

These tests have been conducted multiple times and the average loading time was considered to obtain the graph below. The datasets used for the tests are from different verticals which help in gauging the performance. The objective of this study is to help our users understand the difference in the time required to load the elements for a design file clean-up in MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 13 and Update 14.
