Online Event:  MicroStation SIG: Sheet Setup for Easy Plotting & Printing

Live Q&A Webinar:  Tuesday, October 7th at 8:00 AM PDT or 4:00 PM PDT

Cost:  None!  Must register to receive video links and connection info.  Register here!

Description: Sheet Models are extremely powerful, but they can be intimidating. This session will reap the full benefit of their capabilities. We’ll start from the ground-up, configuring your workspace and synchronizing settings that will simplify project setup. Step through the creation and use of sheets and drawing models in your project workflow and learn how to globally update data and print with the click of a button. When this session is over you’ll be thinking “Why didn’t I make the switch sooner?”

To get maximum benefit from this Special Interest Group “flipped classroom” meeting, registrants will be assigned to watch some free videos introducing reference files in MicroStation.  Questions can then be posted on Be Communities.  The webinar itself will briefly go over the assigned videos, and then will answer any questions that have been posted or asked during the webinar.

  • I have lots of legacy drawings that were once v7 , XM etc all are now V8 but no sheet models and are all various sizes and orientation title blocks using ref files...

When I used the print organiser it doesnt seem to capture all the drawings by their outer boundary which is a unique polygon on a unique level and line style and colour... this used to work well with the old batch printing...as long as portrait and landscape plans were run sepparatley...and no using or adding sheet models is not an option...

  • Some questions:

    1. How to print in one go mixed sheet models (page sizes & orientation) using print organizer?

    2. How to draw Sheet boundary manually? For now I see only two ways - create sheet model in zero coordinates and reference default model or place dummy sheet templates in scale M1;1 and write down corner coordinates and then later input them manually which is very unconvient.

    3. Annotation Scale. How to solve issues if annotation scale for default model is wrong and later try to create Sheet in correct scale.
