Multiline Attribute Support in SS4?

Hello,

Title says it all, are mulit-line attributes supported in SS4 (.832)? Right now multi-line attributes display on a single line only.
I can see they work in CONNECT, but I'm not ready to move into CONNECT (PW workspace issues)

Thanks,

Tom F

  • You probably have noticed in CONNECT that DWG attributes are converted as Item Types, not tags, by default. Item Types are not available in SS4. DWG attributes are converted as tags, which do not support multiline text. That said, if you have to stay on SS4, you can set MS_DWG_DROPMULTILINEATTRIBUTE=1 in your workspace to drop multiline attributes to plain texts. Keep in mind, however, that if an attribute contains a text field pointing to a child object of the host block, the dropped text may not look correct.
