I am Using FDOTSS4, Bentley Microstation PowerGEOPAK V8i ,attaching in PointCloud - .LAS files most seem to work but attached new ones they did not (convert Fail),
talked with my source no help, but did mention that the .las files were new and version 1.4. Any ideas?
Hello, Please be aware that Enhancement 521871 has been logged for the use of LAS files of version 1.4 in MicroStation. Regards Derval Canny.

The enhancement has been approved but no date is available for when it will be implemented.

I asked our Bentley rep the same question last month. Below is his reply.
Yes you are correct that LAS 1.4 functionality does not exist in our V8i products. It was added to our CONNECT Edition products earlier this year. There are no plans to go back and add it to older versions of software. You will have to use the newer software to import LAS 1.4 files. Or you can convert them to older LAS formats before importing them into the older V8i products.
