If I activate a dgn and make a change that is immediately saved to disk.
But what happens if I activate a .dwg ? Is a deactivate also a SAVE of the dwg?
Background is I have some files onG-drive and using deactivate seems to hang ABD.

not my experience .. I often activate dwgs and make minor changes and save just in case then deactivate or return throught previous model green arrow bottom left and it doesnt seem to hang .. well not Warp speed, I'll grant you, unlike dgn but at least it is impulse speed... could not help myself with the star trek reply... sorry

Hi Lorys and thanks for answer.
Any special reason why you don't use right-click deactivate after your save?

I use both methods the rmb is what I meant when I said I deactivate the DWG file but I too was worried it might not save in the DWG.. but I'm convinced now after many trials that it works more like mstn than acad even if its a DWG xref...
