Batch Converter

I have a task to do a batch conversion of a whole directory of DGN's to DWG. I am testing this on just a single file to get it correct and experiencing that I cannot replace the existing border with a dwg that has been set in the DWG save options. This DWG has ALL the required settings/layers/boroders that need to be used in the conversion to dwg. I attach the files as well. I am testing to replace the bentley A0-border.dgn which is attached as a reference in bldgplan with the borders that are part of the TEST.DWG that is attached. I attach the reftest.bcnv and .dws saved for future conversion that I am going to apply to a complete folder but at present just testing on one file. Please can you advise on the best settings as this is critical to the conversion process. Thanks Qamar

  • With mary's  method  I don't think it will maintain any clip any boundaries ... there was a Free vba macro renameRefv3 floating around that  will substitute a ref file with another and does it in its own gui as a batch process if you cant find it  pm me and I'll dig it up from my archives... I think I even made my own extra instructions and pictures to help use it... when its a long time between drinks I forget how to use complex stuff...or if you have projectwise you can do it all thru pwise very easily without macros etc as its a built in function in pwise to swap a ref with another ref file name.
