Want to convert DGN file to IFC File format as we want to import the same in Tekla Structure
We have “MicroStation V8i Select Series 4” but option for exporting to IFC is disable.
How can we export IFC file from “MicroStation V8i Select Series 4” without any loss of data.

Hi,
As I understand it, the IFC format is getting more common as a exchange format. When projects grows and gets more complicated with Building and Civil designs integrated in big project, exchange between proprietary software is mandatory. Companies needs to meet at a common platform, like IFC to succed or another open exchange format.
The question is when Bentley will implement IFC functionality in all their applications so we can work and share infrmation effectively between businesses and industries.

Are you getting a menu option for IFC?
If your running base MicroStation there is no option to export to IFC. I believe AecoSIM's MicroStation mode may load the option but not the required components.
