I've recovered some photos using a recovery software after a system reload. About 50% of the photos open fine, but the rest of them when attempting to open give the error " Error reading a CorelDRAW file" My question is; is there any software or tool available that can open corrupted image files? Is there any way to repair corel draw file? Thanks!

In addition to the good information above, I would like to add a tip that has helped me with large files. When you save the file, in the "Save Drawing" window click on advanced and under "File Optimization" uncheck the "Use Bitmap Compression" & "Use Graphic Object Compression" options. This will result in much larger file sizes, but quicker saves and less corruption.
The best possibility is if you have an older backup, from a time when the file was smaller than 2 GB.
