Hi,
When saving (using save as) my 3d models from Connect Edition dgn format to dwg I am finding that the models become just a series of 2d lines when opened up in ACAD and lose all intelligence.
I also note that the files increase in size quite considerably.
Are there some settings that I need to check or uncheck when using the 'Save As ' command.
Please advise,
Ged Etherington
Which software and version? Are there any specific settings under the Save As DWG Options that you have selected? Maybe you could provide an example DGN and converted DWG file to show what is happening. It may also be helpful to see a screen capture of the Save As DWG Options.

Hi Andrew,
Many thanks for response. I can advise that I am using Bentley Prostructres CONNECT v10.10.0.23.
As there are a plethora of settings it is difficult to add all the screenshots, but I can advise that I am using the default settings, below is is an example of the General 'Save As' settings. As requested I have attached simplified models in .dgn and .dwg formats (because of file size) to give an example of this issue.
I look forward to your response and hopefully a solution, as most of our clients require 3d dwg files this is a serious issue to our company.
Kind regards,
GedEtherington

Hi Ged
I tried your file in Microstation Connect U10 and was able to export a 3d dwg (see attached). Can you screenshot the advanced settings?
Duncan
Hi Duncan,
Please find screen shot as requested:
Try it with Set UCS from current ACS unticked.
