I have a dwg file which was created using CADWorx .(AC1027
I have opened the file in Microstation SS3 & SS4 .
The Properties of smart solid elements like Range min& Range max values are different between Microstation SS3 (08.11.09.357) & Microstation SS4 (08.11.09.829).
why there is a change in range for the same model between SS3 & SS4. Even origin is also changed.
For a particular smart solid I was initially trying to get the ranges using mdlElement_extractRange(). Later on breaking the element into faces and then checking whether all the faces (create elements using the faces) ranges are within the main smart solid range or not.
Here if i use SS3 then everything is fine all the broken faces are under the main smart solid ranges but if i have ss4 installed then i have a problem . All the broken faces are out of range when compared to smart solid.

This may be a RealDWG issue. See the following:

You may want to try to set MS to use an older version of DWG to verify that RealDWG is the source of the issue:

First linke helped me . I have installed Real Dwg 2014 version and set configuration variable to use Real Dwg 2014 with SS4 and i could able to see the same ranges in both SS3 & SS4 and thus my problem solved.
