Hello,
Can i use Microstation v8i to edit and re-classify las/laz files generated by the Pix4D software? As well as generate DEM from said inputs? I am thinking of using it for a personal project.
Thank you.
Hi Pau,
I do not know Pix4D software, but LAS format is supported as read-only by MicroStation V8i. You can convert it to POD format and display it in MicroStation, but you cannot edit it.
There is Bentley Descartes available to work with raster and point cloud data available.
I recommend to ask in ContextCapture | Descartes | Pointools Forum to discuss more details.
With regards,

Thank you for the response. But las\laz format generated by Agisoft software can be edited in Microstation v8i using MDL application terra scan. However, i'm concern about the las/laz file generated by Pix4D software.
Thanks!
Hi,

it's completely different question about different (and not Betley) product. LAS format CANNOT be edited in MicroStation. It CAN BE edited in TerraScan.
Is your question about pure MicroStation or about TerraScan functionality?

If you are asking whether LAS files from Pix4D software can be edited using TerraScan, you have to ask this software producer, beause he is responsible for TerraScan features. MicroStation provides only environment where the application runs and API that can be used to create the application.
