Hi,
How to translate BIM (IFC format) to B3DM by Bentley system ?
I would like build BIM (IFC format) in my server with Cesium 3D Tile (B3DM format).
But I not sure how to do by Bentley software.
The example from Cesium as following link :https://cesiumjs.org/Cesium/Build/Apps/Sandcastle/index.html?src=3D%20Tiles%20BIM.html
Thanks!
Unfortunately according to this document workflow is not yet possible - https://res.mdpi.com/ijgi/ijgi-07-00393/article_deploy/ijgi-07-00393.pdf?filename=&attachment=1
2.1. Rendering BIM in CesiumThe first BIM example in Cesium Sandcastle (a folder in the Cesium download package containingthe latest features and usage examples) appeared in version 1.35 [15]. This power plant BIM wascreated by Bentley® (Pennsylvania, United States) using 3D Tiles. Each component of the BIM canbe visualised and queried (e.g., height values) in Cesium as shown in Figure 1. The converted 3DTiles resource (about 114 MB) was encapsulated in a URL and streamed into the Cesium engine. However, the conversion workflow was not documented online since it was a commercial serviceprovided by Bentley®IFC can be imported in Microstation/AECOsim(OpenBuildings) but not yet exportable to B3DM
Hi Oto,
Thanks for your response. I have already read this paper and It provided a very good approach and flowchart.
But some details in BIMServer I need to know to process it. I will search for information about Microstation. thanks.
