I am unable to save attached dgn to dwg. Progress bar hangs at 13-15%. What might be the problem?

Tested it with V8i SS1 (.171de) and V8 XM (de) same problem here. After 15% MS hangs!
XM is saying that some material table could not be loaded.
Sorry, no more help avail. here. I think sou should open a Ticket!

I noticed that Microstation converts the drawing if I drop everything (cells, complex elements & shapes). However, it is not the an ideal workaround because everything is in bits and pieces then...
I can save in 08.11.07.180. Stalls a little at first but then does the file conversion & save.
