I use V8i for design/drawing. I use an AutoCAD border file created by our Cadd Support team.
When I do a conversion from DGN to DWG, the text nodes from in the border file produce additional junk after the conversion. It adds a cross and numerical number. See image attached.
How do I stop this from happening?
Does your screenshot show the DWG file in MicroStation or in AutoCAD?

The screenshot is from Microstation after the conversion process where the .dwg border reference is merged into the drawing. Prior to the conversion, when the .dwg border is still a reference, there is no visible issue with the text nodes.
View attributes> Turn off Text nodes.
Ths is just a guess: are the text nodes being displayed in the DGN prior to converting (see view attributes)? Maybe that is causing them to be translated.

Text nodes are turned off prior to conversion. If I turn text nodes on in the converted file, I see (2) sets of nodes. I found the culprit, but still unclear why it's happening. We use a .csv file to Apply Line Style Mapping. When I run the conversion with the .csv file attached the nodes appear. If I run the conversion without the .csv file, the nodes are don't appear and in fact I can turn them on and off with View Attributes.
