When trying to attach a dwg (2013) to one of our dgns the message says "not a recognized format" or something like that. Is this because the dwg is a 2013 version or could there be other things going on? And/Or what would be a suggested next step?
Thank you
You'll need to upgrade to MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3) to open 2013 DWG's. If you're unable to upgrade, you'll need to have the person sending you the files to save them to 2010 DWG or older.

2013 can be viewed and or converted back to 2012 single or batch process with a tool from autodesk called True view...its like Bentley view but more powerful and also it too is free and every time new acad comes out a new version of true view follows...Get it and install convert all your 2013 DWGS in one pass to 2012 or earlier and ustn ss2 will read the new DWGS you created...
