Hello.
I am a new user of MicroStation and my question is similar to that found in the post: http://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/f/273/t/90933.aspx?pi17283=1, however so far as I can see there is no universal answer to this question.
I am trying to capture Google Earth imagery from MicroStation, but cannot get the feature to work. When I enter a data point nothing happens.
System info:
Windows 7 Professional
Google Earth v 7.1.2.2041
MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 2)
Thanks

When you Capture Google Earth imagery in MicroStation you must also have the Terrain layer turned on on Google Earth to capture the terrain. Otherwise it only captures a flat surface with the imagery. So make sure the Terrain layer is enabled in Google Earth.
With the Google Earth Terrain layer turned on MicroStation will capture both the image and the terrain.
In MicroStation's Google Earth Tools Settings Dialog you can toggle display of the terrain with the View Terrain setting.
Unknown said:(For captures from Google Earth with Terrain turned on only) This setting can be turned on/off after capturing from Google Earth. If on, imagery is laid over the terrain surface. If off, imagery is laid over a flat surface.
