MicroStation V8i SELECTseries 10 (version 08.11.09.931)

Bentley is pleased to announce the final release of MicroStation V8i SELECTseries 10 (SS10) version 08.11.09.931.

This version of MicroStation V8i SS10 is updated to address the following.

Removal of the Luxology rendering engine in order to be compliant with Foundry’s terms and agreement with Bentley Systems.
The update resolves an Improper Input Validation vulnerability (CWE-20) where a DGN file could crafted to introduce data that is not expected by the application causing unpredictable or unwanted behavior at application startup. Bentley has not observed this vulnerability being actively exploited for malicious purposes but as it is theoretically possible to do so, Bentley strongly recommends treating this as a material update and deploying with priority to sensitive environments. This change applies to an obsolete feature not generally used by modern MicroStation users. If you are unable to update your application to MicroStation CONNECT Edition 15.2 or higher, then please install this release of MicroStation.
As a reminder, the following dates are when our extended support period for V8i users will expire:
- Full Support will be provided until January 1, 2020.
- Expiring Support will be provided until January 1, 2021.

MicroStation V8i SS10 (08.11.09.931) also uses Bentley’s Subscription Entitlement Service, Bentley’s next generation subscription management system, providing administrators with user-based entitlement management, license threshold notifications, usage analytics, and more.

We recommend that your organization installs the latest version of MicroStation CONNECT Edition.

If you would like the setup executable of MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 10), please follow these steps to download it from Software Downloads:
1. Sign in to https://softwaredownloads.bentley.com/en/
2. Select the "Get Software" under the MicroStation icon
3. Select the Generation of "V8i", then select "Apply" to see MicroStation V8i SS10
4. Select on the Download button to download.
